Marques De Riscal Reserva Rioja 2011 Marques De Riscal Reserva Rioja 2011 – подарок из живописной провинции Риоха Алавеса. Вино представляет собой купаж из традиционного сорта Tempranillo (90%), дающий вину фруктовый аромат, изысканную мягкость танинов с Graciano и Mazuelo, которые придают великолепную яркость и цвет. После ферментации и мацерации напиток выдерживают 2 года в дубовых бочках, а потом еще год в бутылках. Вкус насыщенный и свежий, доминируют фруктовые тона, а округлые и невероятно мягкие танины переходят в приятное послевкусие. Букет сложный и соблазнительный: фруктовые ноты звучат ярко и выразительно, к ним присоединяются лакрица и черный перец, венчают симфонию нюансы дуба.

INTRODUCTION
Marqués de Riscal Reserva wines are basically made from grapes from tempranillo vines planted before de 70’s, grown in the best clay-limestone soils of the Rioja Alavesa. This variety withstands oak- and bottle ageing well thanks to its good balance of acidity and fine tannin. The Graciano and Mazuelo varieties, whose presence in the blend does not exceed 10%, provide crispness and a lively colour. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature of 26ºC and the maceration time is never more than 12 days. Riscal reservas spend around two years in American Oak Barrels, producing a wine which corresponds to the classic Rioja style: fresh, fine, elegant and very suitable for laying down for many years. Before release for sale it spends a minimum of one year rounding off in the bottle; time enough to show how much complexity tempranillo is able to achieve.

GROWING CONDITIONS
The months of autumn and winter passed with an almost total absence of precipitation and with many frosts; registered rainfall was well below the average for the area. However, from May onwards, this trend changed, with abundant rainfall being recorded. The temperatures during July and August were lower than average so ripening was held up about 10 days in comparison to recent harvests. Mild temperatures in September were good for the slow, correct ripening of the grapes, which, in this harvest, achieved extraordinary balance in their acidity.

TASTING NOTES
Intense black-cherry colour with good depth of colour and hardly any signs of evolution. Very expressive aromas on the nose with notes of liquorice, cinnamon and black pepper, with just a subtle hint of the long cask-ageing, thanks to its great complexity and ripe, concentrated fruit. Fresh and easy to drink on the palate, good backbone and lovely, polished tannins. The long, persistent finish leaves gentle balsamic reminders of the finest quality.

Marques De Riscal Gran Reserva Rioja 2005 Marques De Riscal Gran Reserva Rioja 2005 представляет собой купаж традиционных испанских сортов винограда, выращенных в щедром аппелласьоне Риоха. Напиток имеет прекрасную выдержку: сначала до 3 лет в дубовых бочках, после еще столько же в бутылках. Вино полнотелое, имеет изысканный вкус, идеально сбалансированное, с округлыми мягкими танинами, выразительно слышны пряности, особенно перечные ноты и сладкие легкие оттенки какао. Послевкусие продолжительное и элегантное. В букете ярко раскрывается терпкий аромат специй, темных ягод, гармонично соединяясь с нотами табака, паленого дуба, в финале проявляются соблазнительные нюансы лакрицы и шоколада.

INTRODUCTION
This wine is elaborated in our new renovated 1883 winey. For its elaboration we use wooden buts and the last generation of sorting tables where bunches and grapes are previously chilled. To make their Gran Reservas, Marqués de Riscal use grapes from old vines over 80 years’ old, either from own estate vineyards. The wine destined for making the Gran Reserva is set aside after the final coupages and passes into French oak barrels where it will spend between two and a half and three years, plus another three years rounding off in the bottle before release for sale.

GROWING CONDITIONS
The abundance of snow was a very welcome benefit for the later development of the vines. Budburst occurred in the first week in April although there was then a sudden, brusque fall in temperatures which lasted until the 20th, at which point they rose again, which, combined with a shortage of rainfall, prevented the appearance of fungal diseases. Flowering and fruit setting proved uneventful and can be regarded as satisfactory. During the three summer months barely 25 litres of water per square metre was collected, so that the berry size was small. This was decisive for grape quality. Thanks to the reserves of moisture in the soil which had accumulated during the autumn and winter, the vines continued to evolve correctly. After some green pruning and with hardly any treatment necessary, ripening proceeded correctly and harvesting was earlier than normal, starting on 20 September, with top quality grapes brought in.

TASTING NOTES
A very dark black-cherry colour with faint brick-red glints. It has an intense, complex nose with hints of black pepper, balsamic aromas and slight toastiness, reminding you of fine oak. On the palate, the ageing nuances are in perfect harmony with the fruit, with good tannin concentration, round and supple, with a long, silky smooth finish.
